Get advice now on Wrinkle Treatment with PolynucleotidesPolynucleotides (salmon DNA) – Regeneration instead of volume
Over the years (starting as early as age 20), the skin loses its elasticity and firmness, which contributes to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Thanks to modern aesthetic medicine, it is now possible to treat these signs of aging gently and effectively. At Dr. Münzberg’s practice, we offer wrinkle-filler treatments tailored to each patient’s individual needs, with the goal of restoring a fresh, natural appearance to the face. We take into account both a harmonious result and your personal charisma.

Polynucleotides (PN) are natural, highly purified active ingredients derived from fish DNA (e.g., salmon) and specially processed for medical use. Unlike fillers, which add volume, they activate the skin from within. They promote cell regeneration, improve hydration, and support skin elasticity. The result is a fresher, healthier, and naturally radiant complexion.
- Patients with dehydrated skin, fine lines, and loss of elasticity
- Prevention for younger skin
- Regeneration for mature or sun-damaged skin
- Tissue improvement for scars or acne scars
- Face (including fine lines and skin texture)
- Eye area (eye contour/lower eyelid, wrinkled skin)
- Neck & décolleté
- Hands
- Scars/acne scars
For optimal results, a series of three sessions spaced two to four weeks apart is recommended. For mature or severely damaged skin, four sessions may be indicated.
Initial effects, such as improved hydration and a fresh glow, are usually visible after seven to 14 days. The maximum effects on skin texture and elasticity usually become apparent after a period of four to eight weeks.
The effects of the treatment last an average of 6 to 9 months. To maintain the results, either a new series of sessions at intervals of 9 to 12 months or individual maintenance sessions at intervals of 4 to 6 months is recommended.
Combining polynucleotide (PN) treatments with other aesthetic procedures, such as fillers (e.g., hyaluronic acid, botulinum toxin), laser or RF microneedling, and chemical peels, is highly recommended.
To ensure optimal skin regeneration, it is recommended to undergo a PN treatment first or to allow at least two weeks between individual treatments.
It is essential to allow the skin to rest for a few days after treatment, to avoid sun exposure, saunas, and intensive skincare, and to ensure adequate hydration. It has been observed that under these conditions, the effects of polynucleotides are maximized.
To achieve the best possible results, please follow these guidelines after your treatment: Avoid applying makeup to the injection sites for the first 12 hours. You should also avoid saunas, exercise, and direct sunlight for 24 to 48 hours. If necessary, the treated areas can be gently cooled. Do not massage the skin in the treated areas. If you are prone to herpes, please discuss possible preventive measures with Dr. Münzberg before treatment.
Treatment with polynucleotides (PN) is considered well-tolerated and safe. However, as with any injection treatment, temporary reactions—or, in rare cases, more severe reactions—may occur.
Postoperative symptoms such as redness, swelling, hives, or bruising are possible. These are generally harmless and subside within 24 to 72 hours. In rare cases, infections or sterile nodules may occur; vascular complications are very rare. Polynucleotides are highly purified and well-tolerated substances. A hypersensitivity reaction occurs only in extremely rare cases. Since PN is derived from fish DNA, a medical evaluation is recommended prior to treatment in cases of known severe fish allergy.
Treatment is not recommended in cases of acute skin infections, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in cases of severe autoimmune diseases or uncontrolled coagulation disorders.
The effects of polynucleotides (PN) unfold gradually, resulting in a natural improvement in skin quality:
- In the short term (after one to two weeks), the skin appears fresher, more radiant, and better hydrated.
- In the medium term (after four to eight weeks): The skin’s surface becomes smoother, fine lines are reduced, and elasticity increases.
- In the long term (after three to six months), the skin’s structure stabilizes—it appears firmer, more even, and healthier overall.
For lasting, beautiful results, a maintenance treatment is recommended, either as an annual series or in individual sessions every six months, depending on skin condition and individual treatment goals.
The use of polynucleotides (PN) enables targeted stimulation of the skin’s energy production. The result is improved hydration, elasticity, and a natural glow. The treatment is characterized by its gentleness, excellent tolerability, and seamless integration into personalized skincare and beauty regimens.
