After the surgery, you will be given a medical compression garment that you should wear for several weeks. It stabilizes the abdominal muscles, reduces swelling, and helps shape the tissue. Especially in the first few days, you should take it easy and limit yourself to light activities, such as short walks.

Avoid physically strenuous activities such as sports, heavy lifting, or intense housework for at least 6 weeks. Sunbathing, tanning beds, and saunas should also be avoided during this time so as not to interfere with the healing of the scars. Keep the wounds clean and dry. Do not use any scar care products until the wounds have completely healed.

A balanced, protein-rich diet and adequate fluid intake further support the healing process. All follow-up appointments with Dr. Münzberg should be attended to monitor the healing process and detect any potential complications early on.
